NALU BOWLS - THE FAMOUS SMOOTHIES FROM BALI SPREAD THEIR WING TO JAKARTA

The famous Nalu Bowls from Bali has now opened permanently at Jl. Kemang Timur No 69D, South Jakarta. Once we get the news, we directly plan a schedule to give it a try.

Planned there Saturday morning around 7.30 AM and there were few people already having their breakfast. When we arrived, we could easily spot two canopies and few seat at the front which is their outdoor area. While interior part was mostly used of white wooden painting along with beach ornaments hanging on the wall. Represent a beach atmosphere, combination between Balinese and Hawaiian feel.

We tried the Nalu Bowls original Maverick & the peanut butter smoothies, J-Bay. Both was served using a coconut bowl.

Mavericks was their original, signature and best-selling smoothie. Claimed as the first real Acai Bowl powered by Brazil’s famous superfood. It consists of secret Acai blend recipe, topped with granola, banana, strawberry, coconut flakes and honey. The texture from the blend was really smooth. Homemade granola added crunchiness and the flaked coconut brings an exotic tropical taste to it.

MAVERICKS - IDR 85.000 

If you are a peanut butter lover, you shouldn't missed their J-Bay menu. It consists of peanut butter, banana, honey and soy milk. We add on Chia Seeds in our J-Bay. I think it will be perfect for you who feel like indulging yourself with something rich. Of course it has Nutty & milky flavor, just can’t stop scooping it.

J-Bay - IDR 65.000

Besides the default mix that they offered, you can add another topping such as extra granola, chia seeds, almond, chasew nuts, berries and other fruits. The additional topping range from IDR 3.000 – IDR 10.000 per serve.

Writers Opinion: It was genuinely a delicious, cooling and healthy breakfast experience! And for those who is on diet and want to change your meal with something full yet managing your tummy, this can be an option. Although fruit is undoubtedly the focus, there’s no denying that the homemade granola is the hero. Portion was generous and I believe you will came out there with a full tummy.
